The Studio
Katie DesMarais studied interior design at the University of Kentucky, then spent more than a decade designing in New York and Austin, across residential, hospitality, and luxury development. She came home to Lexington to open Marais Home, bringing that level of sourcing, detail, and finish to Central Kentucky homes.
Her aim for every project is the same one she set for the studio: a home that feels layered and lived-in, not too precious. The full-service program is for owners who want the whole thing handled, a considered plan, the right pieces bought at trade, and a home that is styled and ready on install day.

Our full-service program is designed for homeowners furnishing a whole home or completing a renovation, where design and furniture procurement are handled together. Single-room refreshes and product-only requests are usually a better fit elsewhere, and we are glad to point you in the right direction.

You receive a considered design direction and a clear flat-fee program, so the plan and its cost are set before work begins.
We source and purchase the furniture and finishes at trade pricing, managing orders, lead times, and deliveries for you.
Everything arrives and is placed and styled in a single install, so you walk into a home that is complete.
